Disney Villains Take Over NYC Café

One of my favorite characteristics about classic Disney villains is that they're unapologetically bold and theatrical. Disney Villains: Books & Brews brought that mischievous energy to life in a free pop-up during New York City Comic Con 2024.

Disney transformed the Hudson Yards, Daily Provisions café into a villain-approved destination celebrating Serena Valentino’s Disney Villains book series.

The moment you approached the café, the Villains takeover was unmistakable. Window vinyls, custom signage, and immersive interior branding turned an everyday New York City coffee shop, into a temporary villain lair.

Now you can't have a pop-up in a coffee shop without some fabulous drinks! Let me tell you about this delicious pair of custom lattes created just for the event!

  • The Mistress of All Evil Latte, an Ube and Lavender Latte inspired by Maleficent

  • The Fairest of Them All Latte, a Caramel Apple Latte inspired by Snow White's Evil Queen

These were delicious! Daily Provisions seriously knows how to make a themed cup of joe. I was having the best time capturing fun moments while sipping on both of these lattes. (and yes I had 2 of each latte. I'm Colombian and I LOVE coffee)!

Throughout the pop-up, guests interacted with villain-themed photo ops, purchased books on-site, and spilled tea over their lattes. It was truly such a fun event to experience during New York City Comic Con 2024. I mean, seriously! What better way to start off your Comic Con than cozying up in a NYC Café with a hot, Disney themed latte and Disney Villain book. Thanks for having me Disney!
